The director of one of Australia’s fastest growing procurement companies, Aero Defence, has been recognised among the Gold Coast’s leading entrepreneurs at a recent awards night.

Trent Ralph was a finalist in the ‘Manufacturing, Wholesale & Distribution’ category at the Business News Australia 2015 Gold Coast Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards.

The awards celebrated the Gold Coast’s top young business leaders who are building thriving businesses, delivering innovation, leading social change or forging a path to turn their dream into reality. Mr Ralph established Aero Defence in 2008 to better service the defence industry and rapid growth and soaring demand for the company’s services have resulted in expansion into general aviation and aerospace industries. Through its emphasis on customer service and strict quality management, the company has established strong ties with clients including Northrop Grumman, Airbus and Boeing.

Mr Ralph said he was humbled to be recognised among other ‘movers and shakers’ in wholesale and distribution. “It’s a great accolade but it’s the result of hard work from our entire team,” he said. “We’re a family-run business with an efficient global network and inventory management platform that allows us to locate and deliver quality products with maximum efficiency.

“In our industry customers require reliability, strict quality management and speed of delivery, and we enhance our customer experience through going above and beyond.”

The company has experienced double-digit sales growth every year and it will soon undergo an upgrade to a new warehouse to accommodate future growth. “Having product in stock means we can have someone in the car delivering to customers immediately,” Mr Trent said.

Aero Defence has also recently launched a new online product search feature as part of a brand and website overhaul to improve overall customer experience. “We’ve made our mark in the industry by identifying ways to enhance systems and we’re always looking to innovate how we can make the process faster and easier for customers,” he said.
